The Balaklava Town Hall is a flexible facility that can be hired in total or in separate sections.

  • Bar/Small Kitchen – is set up with a 3 door fridge, pie warmer, microwave, hot water urns, coffee urns, double sink.
  • Dressing Rooms – 2 dressing rooms back stage provide lighted mirrors; air conditioners; handwash sinks; hanging rails;
  • Kitchen – The kitchen is an Occupational Health and Safety certified area which operates as a training facility for hospitality students from the local High Schools as well as adult students. For a full list of equipment please contact the Manager. A fully qualified person must be in charge of the Kitchen at all times.
  • Lounge – Half of the lounge is carpeted and the half near the bar is lino. Screens are available to screen off the two sections giving a comfortable area for a meeting or dinner on the carpeted section with the lino area for more casual interaction.
  • Main Hall – Retractable seating catering for 191 people is available for your use. Single seating is also available catering for up to 350 people in auditorium seating   in the hall. The Hall can accommodate up to 240 people for a sit down dinner.
  • Meeting Rooms – the  2 dressing rooms at the rear of the facility can also be used as Meeting Rooms and can be hired as such. They are equipped with reverse cycle air conditioning, tea/coffee facilities, tables and chairs as required. The Green Room can also be used as a Meeting Room. Groups of up to 10 would meet comfortably in these areas.
  • Projection Room
  • Stage – The stage can be accessed by stairs on either side of the Hall or by separate back stage access. A Stage Managers desk in the wings is complete with a talk back facility to communicate with the Sound Technician and Dressing Rooms.
  • Theatre – An upstairs Sound and Lighting Room provide ….spots mounted above the Hall floor operated by a Maxim Lighting Desk;  a ceiling mounted digital projector;  sound desk
